"Good pay but lack of management and appreciation. A lot of backstabbing and poor communication between departments. Work environment is stressful and often staffing is short handled"

"They protect their own especially if they can't do the job...... They will pay ones to sit at a desk and gab or hide somewhere in the building when others are working their tails off!!! Sad place to have a loved one live!!! All the good staff leave because the old staff feel threatened that someone will tell them to work .... It's a revolving door!! Cons: Too many CHIEFS and not enough indians!!!!!"

"Management is inept and incapable of providing proper direction for departments other than nursing. Most departments are severely understaffed. The general attitude among the staff is very poor due to the poor pay, inadequate staffing and uncaring management. Elim does NOT live up to their moto of "serving in the spirit of Christ's love". Cons: Management, Management, and of course Management"

"Poor management. Poor employment benefit. DON allows inappropriate behaviors at work place. Too much drama, bullied, bad cultures at the place. The places actuary run by TMA and CNA or HUC. Nurses have no voices or authorities and will be bullied by CNA or TMA. Many nurses had resigned due to these problems. Cons: Everything"

"The residents are awesome. The co-workers are great. Management lacks greatly. No support from management. Understaffed the majority of the time, with promises it will get better but doesn't. No 8 hour shifts only 12. A lot of complaints of burn out with 12 hour employees. 2 twelve hour shifts one week and 5 twelve hour shifts the second week. No help in covering shifts, you have to find your own replacements. Very disappointing for a Christian business. Cons: Lack of support from management, cutting employees that are needed to save a buck."

"I worked rehab, had 4 CNA's and a med aid. My CNA's was wonderful, but my med aid was terrible. She didn't give my resident's their medications on time or not at all, and was afraid of most of them. When I expressed my concerns to management, I was told to handle it myself. After months of me hitting a brick wall I quit. I was being under paid and underappreciated. Also, I wasn't able to care for my resident's to the best of my ability, with the team I was given."

"12 hour shifts, to many respnsiblties to get done on shift, usually do not get a break so work is done. Communication VERY poor. Management feels we are all replacable. The most enjoyable part of the job are the residents. Co-workers do not work well together, alot of back stabbing, and not helping each other. Cons: Short or no breaks"

"Some Management was quick to bully staff and demean nurses. There was a lack of respect for staff nurses from management and they would gossip about each other and nursing staff. They violated my rights to privacy regarding my personal health issues and showed a lack of understanding or empathy. Loved my staff/co-workers and residents though!"

"I worked for Elim care almost 2 years. I was a PRN CNA and enjoyed engaging with residents but it wasn’t worth my time putting up with the management there. Management was degrading and it always felt as if myself and other employees were being looked down on, especially by the DON. It was a waste of time for issues to be brought to management, because they’d humor you by saying they’d get to the bottom of it, and then once time when by and things hadn’t changed, they’d say how “disrespectful and unprofessional” it is to speak to your fellow employees about these matters. Cons: Management, Don, unresolved issues"

"This is a good place to work, there just needs to be a person that can bridge between the person as an employee and professional. Accountablility is not adequate. Cons: no breaks, too many duties to get done in scheduled hours"

"I worked there for 5 years everything was ok until a new director of nursing and new administrator started! Rude, drama, and favorites! Not a friendly happy place to work for anymore! Cons: Everything else"

"I love working with the residents and the work is as described for a CNA. The pay should be higher and it would be nice if management would see CNA's more realistically in regards to work-life balance. Vacations are often denied even when requested early. Also it's very hard to always be sent home early because of low census. Many good employees have left for these reasons."

"Pay is good. Management does not have a clue. They make ridiculous rules that have no bearing on patient care. Scheduler and DON are lazy and incompetent. Mandatory OT frequently. DON and other management are nurses, but they wont take over so staff can go home after their shift. They simply do not care. Cons: Nurse managers, Don"
